From the Learning Center, to the hiking trails, to the fishing lake, to the working farm, everyone in the family will find something to enjoy at Carriage Hill. In no particular order, here are five things my family most enjoys.
ArtStreet, UD’s arts complex, and Spectrum, the University of Dayton’s gay-straight alliance, will host its first LGBT Short Film Festival on Friday, February 24, 2012, at 9 p.m. The films include “Door Prize,” “Nothing Happened,” “I Don’t Want to Go Back Alone” and “The Rubi Girls.”
The city of Dayton Ohio has put together a 72 point plan, called Welcome Dayton, for encouraging immigrants to move here, live here, settle here, contribute to the growth of our community. Personally, I think it’s a great idea for a lot of reasons, but mostly because this country was built by immigrants. Our history is of immigrants coming here and beginning new lives in this land of endless opportunity.
