This is the park at 5401 Chambersburg Rd, across from Wayne High School, and it has gone through some changes over the decades. What you can currently find on the 20 acres at Huber Heights Community Park is something for everyone! In the very back of the park are pee wee football fields and three pickleball courts, recently converted from tennis courts. The pickleball courts are fenced. There are two fenced basketball courts. There is brand new playground equipment for little ones. Throughout the park is a 9 hole disc golf course, nestled among the trees. Community Park is one of the few parks in Huber that has trees and shade. There is a picturesque gazebo and grills for picnics, plenty of parking areas throughout. Restroom facilities consist of port-a-potties in the back of the park. It might be a challenge for those with limited mobility as there are not paved walking paths and there are steps to get to the gazebo. This park is popular with disc golfers and dog walkers and picnic-ers.

How to Contact City Council About New Development in Huber Heights

There is a lot of new development happening in Huber Heights. Our current mayor has a goal to reach 50,000 new residents by 2030, that’s 7,000 more residents that last census. This may or may not be a good thing, either way, you might want to let your Huber Heights Council know your thoughts on some of this development, so consider this a Making Your Voice Heard primer.
