The Huber Heights Farmers’ Market at The Heights is open most Saturdays 10-2pm from May through October, and offers a wide variety of homegrown and homemade products, including, of course, fresh fruit and vegetables. They also accept coupons from Ohio’s Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. This is a supplemental food program for seniors who meet certain income requirements. Seniors who are eligible can apply for this coupon program in which participants receive two sheets of five $5.00 coupons (worth $50.00) to be used for the growing season. This is a great way for eligible seniors to supplement their diets with healthy, locally grown produce, as well as a fun way to get outside and mingle.
