Belle Plain Park is one of Huber Heights “pocket” parks. These are small parks nestled within a neighborhood, typically used by residents of that subdivision. These are little hidden gems sprinkled throughout the City of Huber Heights and can be just what you are looking for if you want a quiet play date with a few moms, a peaceful lunch away from the office, for a picnic, or to get out for a walk.
Belle Plain Park is located at 7715 Belle Plain Dr, between Brandt Pk and Bellefontaine Rd. It’s a 3 acre park with a .25 mile walking path, updated playground equipment with some ADA accessibility, three park benches, and a small shelter with three picnic tables that can seat approx 16-24 people (shelter is first come, first served and not available for reservation). You will have to bring your own grill, as the City removed the old one when they updated the playground equipment. There are no bathroom facilities in this park. There is a small dedicated parking lot, on street parking is available in that neighborhood, but not immediately adjoining the park, and there are no sidewalks leading to the park. It’s a very peaceful setting, although the walking track has seen better days, you can still get your steps in, in a quiet park setting.

How to Contact City Council About New Development in Huber Heights

There is a lot of new development happening in Huber Heights. Our current mayor has a goal to reach 50,000 new residents by 2030, that’s 7,000 more residents that last census. This may or may not be a good thing, either way, you might want to let your Huber Heights Council know your thoughts on some of this development, so consider this a Making Your Voice Heard primer.
