Huber Heights City Parks: Canal Lock Park

In what was once part of the Miami and Erie Canal, is a still-standing canal lock. Huber Heights’ Canal Lock Park, located at 5999 Endicott Rd, is a picturesque little wooded walking trail and single picnic table. You can often find workers having a quiet lunch here, and it’s a nice place for dog walking, plus of course, you can see an actual canal lock from the 1830s. This park might be somewhat difficult to access for people with limited mobility, with a gravel incline, and earth walking trail. There is a limited parking lot, but it’s a bucolic little piece of Miami Valley history, right here in Huber Heights.
