Patience… This story started about 3 years ago when a man in his early 20’s contacted me about buying a home. He wasn’t really ready then, but he wanted to plan for it and do the right thing the right way. We met, we talked, I pointed him to ClarkHoward.com for solid financial advice, and we stayed in touch through the years. In early 2011 I got a text from him- he was ready to buy a home! So happy for him, a first time home buyer in an awesome little home. It does need work, but he got it at a great price, he has both skills and resourcefulness so he’s up for the task. Congratulations Scott!
A Place For Mom has excellent advice on how to find assisted living and senior housing for LGBTQ residents. This is a real concern. It’s not uncommon for someone who is a senior to have lived an open life. Why would they- why should they- go back to a life of hiding who they are?
