Genworth Financial has come out with their 2020 Cost of Care Survey which is a state-by-state comparison of the costs of various types of senior care. Ohio, as we are wont to do, trends towards the median and lower side of costs for most types of health care. The survey gives you median costs of care so if you are trying to get some idea of how much Adult Daycare, In-Home Care, Assisted Living, Nursing Home costs are going to be, this is a handy chart to have on hand. My experience is that Dayton is right about at the Ohio median, but when planning for future costs, it’s helpful to be conservative.
