Why EXIT Realty, and what’s with that name?

Questions I hear everywhere I go, and to be honest I asked those questions myself, until I did my research. EXIT Realty likes to call itself “Real estate re-invented” and I love that. I love the idea of turning typical old-time, fuddy-duddy real estate brokerage models on their heads and creating something better, something more beneficial for real estate agents. If you’ve heard anything about EXIT, it’s probably about the 10-7-5 Sponsorship program. People from old school real estate might have problems wrapping their brains around this idea, because it’s unlike anything else out there. Here’s how it works:

10% Sponsoring Residuals

When a salesperson is introduced to management and recruited into EXIT, each transaction that they close generates a bonus that’s equivalent to 10% of the gross commissions earned by the recruit, payable to the individual who sponsored them into the company. The bonus is paid via EXIT’s head office, and not subtracted from the new recruit’s commissions. And it continues perpetually for as long as the new recruit stays with EXIT and generates sales.

So, no, this doesn’t come from your commission! It doesn’t come from the broker! It comes from corporate only. Here’s what I think is golden about this: Isn’t it in the sponsor’s best interest to help the new recruit along? As in mentoring? Or teamwork? Or simply being that sounding board to bounce an idea off of? This business can be brutal for someone starting out- either a friendly ear or a kick in the pants can make the difference between giving up and pushing through to success. Together we all succeed. 7% Retirement Residuals

Should an “EXIT” salesperson decide to retire from selling real estate, a “pension plan” is created from the sponsoring bonuses that he or she has established. Also, the retiring salesperson retains the privilege of enhancing this pension plan while in retirement by continuing to sponsor salespeople into the company.

So let’s say you have been in the business for awhile, but understand a great idea when you see one. You can retire from EXIT and still reap the benefits of being an established sponsor, and you can continue to grow your sponsoring income. What other real estate brokerage can offer that?

EXIT is a SINGLE LEVEL SYSTEM. If John sponsors Mary and Mary sponsors Bill, then John has nothing to do with Bill because he didn’t sponsor him in.

There is no catch here- these are the straight facts.

Look, bottom line: You don’t have to sponsor if you don’t want to. Your success as a real estate agent is not dependent on whether or not you ever do any sponsoring, but here’s the thing- you are going to succeed as an agent anyway, why not have the opportunity to be able to sponsor, if you choose to do it? Why not work with a brokerage that offers you sponsoring as an extra opportunity? If you don’t want it, then you still get the great training, the great supportive environment, and a great corporation.
